Where does the raw material for APIS FAMILIA and APIS GREEN come from?

The raw material to produce green propolis extract comes from apiaries located in pollution-free areas in the State of Minas Gerais, where native rosemary is found. In the international market this propolis is recognized for its high levels of flavonoids and special substances such as Artepelin C. The content of flavonoids and Artepelin C is confirmed by tests carried out in independent laboratories.

The area is a mountainous area, which is not suitable for large-scale agricultural production, so that the original species in this area is abundant and totally pesticide free. The raw material propolis in this region is very famous in the world because of its high quality and contains high phenol compounds and flavonoids, and contains more abundant Artepellin C.

How is the APIS FAMILIA and APIS GREEN propolis made?

In order to harvest high quality propolis, the workers carefully remove the raw propolis . In order to avoid excess impurities, only 3-4 cm of the small gap can be opened in the hives. There are only 50-70 grams of raw propolis that can be collected from each hive. Propolis is classified according to the quality. Each raw propolis from is carefully chosen to avoid any impurities. Raw propolis must be marked with labels, it is easy to track and quality control. Raw propolis is generally stored in the freezer, in order to guarantee the activity of the different components. Raw propolis must be purified in a solvent; the solvent is typically grain alcohol or propylene glycol. The purification process usually takes a long time; it is very strict with the purification process. The registration of each batch is clear. It takes a specified period from the start of the extraction process to produce, thus guaranteeing excellent quality. In the purification process, the test must be carried out periodically to ensure quality. The oxidation time of the propolis is strictly controlled to guarantee the activity of propolis. The production process must be done in sterile powder and free space. The products need to be put in storage, and to maintain the appropriate temperature and humidity, after the filling, label and packaging process is complete.

Excellent production qualification

All batches of propolis products (raw propolis and propolis extract, sprays with honey and honey, capsules, other bee products) are analyzed by an independent laboratory and we maintain a sample for each batch exported for two years to ensure quality. All lots are exported with Technical Report and International Animal Sanitary as Official Certificate of the Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil, with Federal Inspection. We can perform the analysis according to the client's request and methodology, if necessary.

The manufacture is recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil and its name is included in the General List of Exporters of Brazilian Companies. It is also registered in the FDA System. We always ship our batches for export for federal inspection. Even a current procedure, we consider it as one more tool to guarantee our quality standard.
